Battery Materials Engineering Laboratory (BMEL)
Electrochemical laboratory for the synthesis and analysis of materials and devices for electrochemical energy storage. The laboratory is currently under development, but, at the moment, it is capable of fabricating and testing materials and batteries of the zinc-air and zinc-ion types. Moreover, the laboratory features state-of-the-art electrochemical equipment for a broad range of materials-science and electroanalytical applications. Soon, the laboratory will setup a research line for the study of lithium-based batteries, as well as a suite of in situ spectroelectrochemical measurements.
