Anche il Dipartimento di Energia nel team in gara con il catamarano IONE
Piu di 80 studenti da tutti i corsi di studio del Politecnico uniti per un obbiettivo comune: la Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2022 (Home - MEBC (energyboatchallenge.com)). Questo è PhysisPEB, il giovanissimo team che ha dato vita a Ione, il catamarano alimentato da un sistema di propulsione ibrido a idrogeno, batteria e pannelli fotovoltaici.
Un sistema complesso e ambizioso per far fronte alle diverse prove che proprio in questi giorni sta affrontando a Montecarlo nelle gare di Endurance, Velocità e Manovrabilità.
Physis PEB nasce dalla cooperazione tra il Dipartimento di Energia ed il Dipartimento di Meccanica del Politecnico di Milano, coinvolgendo una vasta rete di professori, professionisti ed esperti del settore, in stretta collaborazione con il team studentesco.
Un progetto che non si ferma alla competizione ma guarda oltre, con l’obbiettivo di formare una solida base nello sviluppo di tecnologie all’avanguardia per la riduzione dell’impatto ambientale del settore dei trasporti.
I membri del Dipartimento di Energia che sono principalmente principalmente coinvolti nel progetto sono: Riccardo Mereu, Gianluca Valenti, Antonino Ravidà, Roberto Perini, Sonia Leva, Alberto Dolara, Emanuele Martelli, Gregorio Chiarenza, Francesco Battistella, Matteo Felice Iacchetti, Matteo Carmelo Romano.

More than 80 students from all the majors of Politecnico, together for a common goal: The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2022 (Home - MEBC (energyboatchallenge.com)). This is PhysisPEB, the newest team that created Ione, the catamaran powered by a hybrid propulsion system based on hydrogen, batteries and photovoltaic panels.
A complex and ambitious system to cope with the various challenges IONE is facing in Monte Carlo in these days, in the races of Endurance, Speed and Maneuverability.
Physis PEB starts from the cooperation between the Energy department and Mechanical department of Politecnico di Milano, involving a vast network of professors, professionals and experts of the sector, in close collaboration with the student’s team.
A project that does not only go as far as the competition, but further with the objective to create a solid ground for the development of cutting-edge technologies for the reduction of the environmental impact of the transportation sector.
