DOMOPTI, spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, among the winners of the NEST Call4Innovation “Boosting the Energy Transition”

The spin-off DOMOPTI, established within the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano, is among the 20 entities selected in the third edition of the MOST Mobility Contest, an initiative promoted by the Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile (MOST) to support startups, spin-offs, and innovative SMEs active in the sustainable mobility sector.
The contest allocates a total of €4 million to foster the growth of high-tech companies and to facilitate the transfer of research outcomes into industrial applications. MOST brings together 24 Italian universities and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), with the objective of strengthening the link between the academic system and the industrial ecosystem in the fields of mobility and energy.
The awarded funding will enable DOMOPTI to further advance the development and industrialization of its intelligent energy management solutions, accelerating the valorization pathway of scientific results generated within the University.
This recognition confirms the Department of Energy’s capacity to generate high-impact innovation and to guide research toward concrete applications supporting the energy transition and sustainable mobility.

DOMOPTI – Spin-off of the Department of Energy

Founded in 2024 as a spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, DOMOPTI develops advanced energy management solutions based on mathematical models and artificial intelligence for the forecasting, monitoring, and real-time optimization of energy production, consumption, and storage.
The founders include Department of Energy professors Sonia Leva, Giampaolo Manzolini, and Emanuele Martelli, together with Davide Zanatta (Polimi alumnus) and Paolo Ceriani (Bocconi alumnus). The team combines scientific and managerial expertise with the aim of transforming research results into scalable industrial solutions.
The award granted within the framework of the MOST – Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile Mobility Contest represents the second recognition obtained by the startup in just a few months (read), following its selection in the NEST Call4Innovation “Boosting the Energy Transition,” further confirming the technological robustness and application potential of the solutions developed.
