Martina Ferrando selected for the European Talent Academy 2026
Martina Ferrando has been selected for the 2026 edition of the European Talent Academy (ETA), a high-level international program promoted through a collaboration between Politecnico di Milano, the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and Imperial College London (ICL), which brings together young European researchers to address strategic issues for the future of the continent.
The theme of this year’s edition, “Smarter and healthier cities on a changing planet”, is dedicated to the study of smarter and healthier cities in a context of climate and environmental change, with a strongly interdisciplinary approach that integrates engineering, sustainability, health, and urban policy. This is a research area of growing relevance also for the scientific and project activities of the Department of Energy.
The European Talent Academy is conceived as a program of excellence that combines advanced training, international exchange, and networking among leading academic institutions in Europe, offering participants the opportunity to develop scientific and leadership skills to address complex global challenges.
Martina Ferrando’s selection represents an important individual recognition and an opportunity to strengthen the Department’s presence in international contexts dedicated to energy, sustainability, and urban transformation.
