Federico Pedranzini receives the REHVA Professional Award in Design

On 26 September 2024, during the 40th AiCARR (Italian Association for Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration) National Conference in Peschiera del Garda, Federico Pedranzini, lecturer at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, was awarded the prestigious REHVA Professional Award in Design.

REHVA, the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations, represents over 120,000 HVAC professionals in 26 European countries. Each year it rewards the best experts in the industry in four categories: Science, Design, Technology and Education. This year, Pedranzini was awarded for his innovative contribution to the design of HVAC&R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) systems.

I am honoured to receive this recognition from such a prestigious federation as REHVA. I believe that this recognition, enshrines the fact that today more than ever the idea of design does not end with mere professional practice, but increasingly extends to the concept of applied research, in which the Polytechnic and its Researchers distinguish themselves internationally,

Pedranzini commented.

Politecnico di Milano will host the international REHVA Climate 2025 conference, during which REHVA’s new president, Livio Mazzarella, a lecturer in the Department of Energy, will take office.
