New skills for the Energy Transition: Corporate Specializing Master launched in collaboration with Ansaldo Nucleare
On September 29, 2025, the inauguration ceremony for the Corporate Specializing Master Program in “Technologies for Nuclear Power Plants” took place in Genoa, at the headquarters of Ansaldo Energia. The program was developed in close collaboration between Ansaldo Nucleare and the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano.
This second-level Specializing Master aims to train specialists in the nuclear sector, which is expected to play an increasingly central role in the energy transition. The program, coordinated by Professor Marco Ricotti of the Department of Energy, began on October 1, 2025. It requires a commitment of 1,500 hours, including nearly 400 hours of lectures delivered by professors from the Politecnico di Milano; members of CIRTEN (International Consortium for Nuclear Technology Research); faculty from the University of Genoa; researchers from the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN); and experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Italian Nuclear Association (AIN), SOGIN-Nucleco, and the Joint Research Centre.
