Physis PEB among the protagonists of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2025

Physis PEB returns to Monte Carlo to participate in the twelfth edition of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, with a new important milestone: the design and construction of Marino, an innovative electric motor developed entirely by the team.

Founded in 2021 as a collaboration between the Department of Energy and the Department of Mechanics at Politecnico di Milano, Physis PEB is a multidisciplinary student team involving more than 80 students from different degree programmes, supported by professors, professionals and industry experts. The project aims to develop new skills in the field of energy transition applied to the transport sector.

During the 2025 edition of the competition, the team successfully competed in the main technical and sporting trials, achieving the following results:

  • 4th place in the Speed Race
  • 9th place in the Endurance Race
  • 6th place in the Slalom Race
  • 4th place in the 1v1 Championship Race

Thanks to these performances, Physis PEB achieved 6th place in the overall ranking out of more than 20 international teams.

In addition to the races, the team had the opportunity to:

  • present the Marino engine to the jury of the Prince Albert II Foundation Prize
  • present the Nydra concept for the Design Prize
  • win 3rd place in the e-Sport Championship

An intense, competitive and educational experience, confirming the effectiveness of the work carried out in recent years and the quality of the path taken.
