Second Edition of the Executive Program on Smart Grids Launched in Collaboration with E-Distribuzione

On October 14th, the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Executive Program on Smart Grids was held at the EN:lab building. This advanced training course is organized by the Department of Energy at the Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with E-Distribuzione.

The program, directed by Professor Marco Merlo and by Professor Maurizio Delfanti from the Department of Energy, was specifically designed to train 35 professionals from E-Distribuzione. The goal is to prepare new experts capable of leading the energy transition and driving innovation in the electricity grid.

Smart Grids, a constantly evolving reality, have been the focus of collaboration between E-Distribuzione and the Politecnico for the past 15 years, and they represent an essential component of development plans supporting the energy transition. For this reason, the training initiative we are presenting today is particularly important: we are working with E-Distribuzione to train professionals capable of managing the distribution networks of the future.
Professors Marco Merlo and Maurizio Delfanti stated during the event.

The training course will last 6 months and will follow a hybrid format combining teaching and group work. It will conclude with participants carrying out a project work focused on strategic topics related to the power grid.

After the success of the first edition, which involved 35 participants, by the end of the second edition, a total of 70 E-Distribuzione professionals will have completed this innovative training program—born from the deep collaboration between academia and industry. This result confirms both the value of synergy between these two sectors and our Department’s ongoing commitment to advanced education in the energy field.
