Conducts research in dosimetry and radiation metrology, providing services in radioprotection through accredited calibration and PTP activities. It works closely with EURADOS, which comprises the leading European research institutions in the field.
The Radiation Metrology Laboratory focuses on the metrology of ionising radiation, including the promotion of evaluation circuits for passive dosimetry systems.
It participates in European research projects and collaborates on the development of new detectors, including instruments for passive radon and neutron measurements.
The laboratory has developed innovative tools such as Politrack and LUPIN, which are used internationally for radiation measurements.
