The HVAC x Motion laboratory has three different circuits for the experimental analysis of component and system performance in vehicle air conditioning and thermal management. The first circuit evaluates the energy consumption of various air conditioning technologies and cabin comfort. The second circuit analyses the performance of air conditioning components such as heating and cooling sections or thermal storage devices. The third circuit assesses components for air humidification and dehumidification, including operation at pressures above atmospheric levels.
Le attività di ricerca in corso riguardano in modo particolare lo studio di sistemi per la climatizzazione dell’abitacolo di veicoli elettrici, in particolare mediante l’utilizzo di sostanze adsorbenti, e di dispositivi per l’umidificazione dell’aria per mezzi di trasporto a Fuel-Cell.
