Uses the FLIR Titanium thermal camera to perform non-destructive thermal analysis of components and thermoelastic stress analysis.
The Infrared Thermography Lab uses an FLIR Titanium thermal camera with a high-speed, high-resolution InSb 320×256 sensor.
The thermographic system can perform non-destructive testing using pulsed thermography and lock-in analysis in elastic or dissipative fields, which is especially useful for studying fatigue limits and stress distribution in mechanically stressed components.
