The Department of Energy, in collaboration with the Association for the Study and Control of Environmental Contamination (ASCCA) and the International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS), is organising the Contamination Control Workshop on 18 October 2024, an event dedicated to the latest trends and technologies in cleanroom design and construction.

The workshop is organised as part of the XXVI International Symposium of Contamination Control (15-18 October 2024), which brings together cleanroom practitioners, academics and international regulators to share knowledge and provide perspectives on the evolving landscape and future of cleanroom technologies. The theme of the 26th Symposium is “Connecting the dots… of Contamination Control”: therefore the Symposium will offer an interdisciplinary programme, presenting the latest innovations, challenges and practical solutions from technical, logistical and regulatory perspectives.

In this context, the final workshop of the Symposium will be held at the Department of Energy, a reference point for innovation and training in energy and environmental issues.

The event will be an invaluable experience for all those working in the field of cleanrooms and contamination control, offering participants the opportunity to get to grips with a wide range of instrumentation, equipment and facilities provided by the Department of Energy’s cleanrooms Laboratory.

Led by a team of academics and industry professionals, the workshop will take a hands-on approach to exploring the latest developments in contamination control.

The event will also be an important networking moment with colleagues and lecturers, an opportunity to share knowledge and make new contacts.

The workshop is aimed at all those involved in the industry, including engineers who design and build cleanrooms, commissioning personnel who test and verify cleanroom performance, maintenance personnel and validation personnel who ensure that cleanrooms meet the required standards.
