The Renewable Heating and Cooling Lab (RELAB) serves industries in the building climate control and sanitary hot water production sectors, offering a wide range of testing services aimed at the research and development of products and the assessment of thermal and acoustic performance according to the latest standards (such as EN 14511, EN 14825, EN 16147, EN 1397, EN 12309, EN 16583, and EN 12102) and European regulations (Eco Design, Eco Label, and ERP directives).
RELAB’s facilities allow the testing of various devices for residential, commercial and industrial use, including heat pumps, liquid chillers, heat pumps for hot water production, thermally powered absorption heat pumps and fan coil units. The laboratory is equipped for tests on air conditioners and static air/air heat recovery units.
RELAB is one of the few independent third-party laboratories in Italy that is accredited according to the quality standard for laboratory activities (EN ISO IEC 17025). It allows companies to reduce costs related to qualified personnel and investments in testing facilities.
