The Energy Department of Politecnico di Milano invites you to a technical workshop aimed at presenting the results of the first year of work of the “Technical Working Group on the Management of Electrical Systems in the Minor Islands.”

The Technical Working Group has involved, in addition to researchers from the Energy Department, the National Union of Small Electric Utilities (UNIEM) and a number of leading companies in the sector.

The study day will present the results of the survey carried out, highlight the critical issues identified, and propose the topics and working methods for the in-depth analyses to be developed in 2026.

During the workshop, a broad roundtable discussion is planned, designed to foster a focused and substantive dialogue among institutions, the research community, and industry.

The focus will, as expected, be on renewable energy resources, but with the aim of going beyond a generic and superficial analysis. Instead, the goal is to identify the foundations required to enable the concrete development and effective deployment of these resources.
