Teaching energy: the Erasmus+ mission in Vietnam of lecturers from the Department of Energy
Three lecturers from the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano recently spent a mobility period at the University of Danang (Vietnam) as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 programme. Professors Alberto Berizzi, Valentin Ilea and Gabriele D’Antona lectured on key topics for the energy sector: renewable energy production plants, the electricity market and electrical measurements.
During the mission, they also had the opportunity to meet three former PhD students from the Department of Energy – Le Dinh Duong, Nhi Thi Ai Nguyen and Le Hong Lam – who are now professors at the University of Danang.
It was a very interesting experience both academically and humanely. We were able to bring our teaching contribution and strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions. Moreover, thanks to the same funding, we will soon have the pleasure of hosting our Vietnamese colleagues and their PhD students in Italy,
comments Prof. Alberto Berizzi.
The initiative is part of the Department of Energy’s international activities aimed at fostering academic and scientific cooperation with universities around the world, promoting the exchange of expertise and cultural enrichment.
Erasmus+ KA171: a bridge between European universities and international partners: since 1987, the Erasmus programme has enabled millions of Europeans to experience international mobility. Since 2015, with Erasmus+, the opportunities have also extended to institutions and individuals outside Europe, fostering global academic cooperation. Action KA171 (International Credit Mobility – ICM) allows European universities to establish agreements with partner universities outside Europe for the mobility of students and academic staff, strengthening the links between the European education system and the rest of the world.
