Trademark Course | Open Lecture on Reputational Damage to a Brand
As part of the Trademark Course, the Department of Energy is organising a public lecture on 1 October from 10.00 to 13.15 on the subject of the damage to a brand’s reputation caused by the violation of cultural sensitivities, i.e. the violation of historical, cultural, political and religious aspects of cultures or communities.
With a practical and dynamic approach and an international vision, we will analyse concrete cases that have received significant media coverage in the trade press. We will also look at the operational and organisational methods that can be put in place to try to reduce the risks arising from this type of violation,
says speaker Stella Padovani, Intellectual Property & Brand Protection Senior Manager.
The dynamism, speed, virality and simultaneity of what is shared and commented on in the online world require an ever-increasing awareness of these issues, which need to be known and studied in depth in order to be managed consciously,
continues Stella Padovani.
Together with the other speakers (Giacomo Moleri, a lawyer specialising in the protection of intellectual property rights on the Internet, and Alessandro Mininno, an expert in digital communication), Stella Padovani will share her knowledge and experience in this sensitive interdisciplinary field, touching on law, culture and business opportunities.
Given the relevance of the subject matter, the Order of Industrial Property Consultants has accredited the public lecture with 3 training credits in the field of trademarks.
The public lecture will be held in person at the Department of Energy, Via Lambruschini 4, Building BL25, Milan, and online through the Microsoft Teams platform.
Participation is free of charge, after registering for the event here.
