The Heat and Mass Transfer (HMT) group studies heat and mass transport phenomena, with applications ranging from energy production to biomedical and aerospace technologies. The approach integrates theoretical, experimental and computational analyses to develop innovative solutions in the fields of thermohydraulics, thermal design and fire safety.
The group’s laboratories focus on topics such as modelling advanced heat exchangers, multiphase transport and fire control technologies. Through collaborations with academic and industrial partners, their activities contribute to improving energy efficiency and process sustainability.
