Inside reactions: interview with Matteo Maestri on catalysis in Frontiere
Politecnico di Milano’s magazine Frontiere has published an extensive interview with Matteo Maestri, Full Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Department of Energy and lecturer in the Laboratory of catalysis and catalytic processes (LCCP) research group.
In the article, entitled Inside reactions: how catalysis works, Maestri guides readers on a journey through the basics and applications of catalysis, explaining the fundamental role that catalysts play in industrial chemical processes, energy transition, the circular economy and even everyday life.
From ammonia synthesis to advanced techniques for “seeing” reactions in real time, to the prospects for the use of sustainable materials and integration with artificial intelligence, the interview offers an in-depth look at a field that is crucial to the energy and environmental challenges of the present and the future.
