Keynote speech by Emanuele Ogliari at the international ATiGB 2025 conference in Vietnam

Emanuele Giovanni Carlo Ogliari, Professor at the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano, was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the international conference Applying new Technology in Green Buildings (ATiGB 2025), organized by the University of Danang – University of Technology and Education (Vietnam).

In his lecture, titled “Enhanced CNN for solar radiation nowcasting through All-Sky images embedded with exogenous parameters”, Professor Ogliari presented an innovative approach to solar radiation nowcasting based on convolutional neural networks and all-sky images, integrated with external meteorological and environmental parameters.

The research is part of the activities of the National Centre for Sustainable Mobility – MOST, which, through collaboration among 24 universities, the National Research Council (CNR), and 24 major companies, aims to foster and support the development of modern, sustainable, and inclusive mobility solutions across the national territory. MOST addresses strategic themes for the future of mobility — from light vehicles and railway transport to new fuels and the digitalization of transport systems — with the goal of making mobility increasingly green, digital, and accessible.

Now in its tenth edition, the ATiGB 2025 conference brought together over 300 international experts engaged in technological innovation for the energy transition and sustainable design.

A delegation from the National Centre for Sustainable Mobility – MOST also took part in the event, contributing to the dissemination of scientific results. The delegation included Sonia Leva, Michela Longo, and Marco Mussetta, coordinator of the PhD Programme in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.
