Emanuele Ogliari at the Italian C&I Summit: the future of C&I storage between self-consumption and flexibility

On 20 November 2024, Emanuele Ogliari, lecturer at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, attended the Italian C&I Summit at the International Congress and Exhibition Center of Villa Erba in Cernobbio (CO). The event, promoted by Huawei FusionSolar Italia, brought together more than 200 experts from the commercial and industrial photovoltaic sector, exploring innovative solutions in the fields of photovoltaics, storage systems and charging for electric vehicles.

Ogliari gave a speech entitled “Present and future of C&I storage: from self-consumption to flexibility services”, in which he analysed the current state and future prospects of the adoption of energy storage systems (BESS). By analysing the current situation of electrical storage, the presentation highlighted the potential of these technologies to foster self-consumption and flexibility services, contributing to more efficient and sustainable energy management for the industrial and commercial sector.

The speech emphasised the crucial role of research and technological development in supporting the energy transition, offering new opportunities for companies that choose to invest in sustainable, state-of-the-art solutions.
