Diamond and Carbon Materials Early Career Research Award

The prize awarded to a research fellow at Politecnico di Milano

Subrata Ghosh, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie research fellow at the Department  of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, was awarded the Diamond and Carbon Materials Early Career Research Award during the 33rd International Conference on Diamond and Carbon Materials, held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The award is in recognition of his research work on carbon-based materials and their promising multifunctionality, a potential that was illustrated by Ghosh himself during the plenary lecture entitled ‘Multifunctional Nanocarbons and Beyond: Promising Potentials’.

Subrata Ghosh’s research focuses on the leading role of carbon-based materials in the fields of renewable energy, environmental science and optoelectronics. In particular, he explored the potential of nanocarbon-based compounds, emphasising the need to further improve the performance of such materials.

Declares Subrata:

It was an immense pleasure and an honour for me to receive this prestigious award, which certainly motivates me and I hope it can really boost my career as well.
