Maurizio Delfanti appointed coordinator of the Italia Solare Technical and Scientific Committee

Italia Solare has recently set up a new Scientific and Technical Committee (STC) made up of nine university professors of national importance, experts in energy issues. Professor Maurizio Delfanti, lecturer at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, has been appointed coordinator of this important committee.

The CTS will be responsible for providing Italia Solare with scientific support on key issues related to the energy transition, including research and analysis of national and international energy policies. The group of experts will analyse, among other things, the trends in photovoltaic and renewable energy installations, paying particular attention to the objectives of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (NIPEC) and future criticalities and opportunities.

The CTS will be officially presented at the first edition of the Italia Solare Expert Forum, to be held on 8 October at Politecnico di Milano. The conference, entitled “Where are we with the energy transition?”, will be attended by members of the Committee and will provide an important opportunity to discuss the challenges of the energy transition in Italy.

Registration for the Forum is free and can be made via the following link: https://www.italiasolare.eu/is-eventi/italia-solare-expert-forum-a-che-punto-siamo-con-la-transizione-energetica/

Professor Delfanti commented:

We will pool our knowledge and experience to support Italia Solare in its role as promoter of an energy model based on intelligent and sustainable ways of producing, storing, managing and distributing energy, with a particular focus on photovoltaics.

Italia Solare is a third-sector association dedicated to the promotion of intelligent and sustainable energy solutions, with a focus on the production and management of energy through renewable sources, such as photovoltaics. The association stands out for its commitment to supporting the Italian energy transition, promoting the integration of renewable energy with smart grids, electric mobility and energy efficiency technologies. Thanks to its Board of Directors and working groups, Italia Solare actively participates in discussion tables on energy policies at institutional and technical level.
