Continuing Education Courses: “The new role of the consumer: from prosumer to Renewable Energy Communities’ & ‘Electricity Markets and BESS”.
The Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano is organising the first edition of the course “The new role of the consumer: from prosumer to Renewable Energy Communities” and the second edition of the course “Electricity Markets and BESS”, as part of the “Training on Smart Grids & Electricity Markets”.
Lessons will be held, for both courses, at the Department of Energy premises in Via Lambruschini 4.
The course can be followed either in the classroom or online through Microsoft Teams.
The new role of the consumer: From Prosumers to Renewable Energy Communities
The course offers a broad overview of the changing role of the consumer, who also becomes an energy producer and can participate in collective initiatives such as Renewable Energy Communities. It will take place from 6 to 10 May 2024. A maximum of 50 participants is expected. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the course.
Timetable:
– Monday 6 May 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m;
– Tuesday 7 May 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m;
– Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 May 2024 from 09:00 to 13:00.
Total duration: 28 hours.

Electricity Markets and BESS
The second course provides an overview of electricity markets and details the role that battery storage systems (BESS) can play in them. It will be held from 24 to 28 June 2024. A maximum of 50 participants is expected. Participants will be awarded a certificate at the end of the course.
Timetable:
09:00 to 13:00.
Total duration: 20 hours.
