More than 80 students from all the majors of Politecnico, together for a common goal: The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2022.

This is PhysisPEB, the newest team that created Ione, the catamaran powered by a hybrid propulsion system based on hydrogen, batteries and photovoltaic panels.
A complex and ambitious system to cope with the various challenges IONE is facing in Monte Carlo in these days, in the races of Endurance, Speed and Maneuverability.
Physis PEB starts from the cooperation between the Department of Energy and Department of Mechanics of Politecnico di Milano, involving a vast network of professors, professionals and experts of the sector, in close collaboration with the student’s team.
A project that does not only go as far as the competition, but further with the objective to create a solid ground for the development of cutting-edge technologies for the reduction of the environmental impact of the transportation sector.
