WindDesign: the Politecnico di Milano team among the finalists of the Enel international contest
The Wind Forest team from the Department of Energy at the Politecnico di Milano, composed of Emanuele Ogliari, Riccardo Zich, and Andrea Pirisi, ranked among the 26 finalists in the international competition WinDesign – Designing the Wind of the Future, promoted by the Enel Group.
A total of 507 teams from around the world took part in the competition, tasked with proposing innovative solutions for the future of wind energy. The Wind Forest project stood out on the international stage, earning official recognition from Enel as a finalist.
«It was a very stimulating journey, which allowed the team to engage with a design challenge of international scope» commented Emanuele Ogliari. «The result highlights the work and commitment of all the group members.»
This recognition is part of an initiative that involved universities, design studios, companies, and young professionals, with the aim of envisioning new solutions to make wind energy increasingly efficient and better integrated into local environments.
