Prof. Bonalumi attends G7 event on climate change
Prof. Davide Bonalumi of the Department of Energy participated as a speaker in the event “Turning Goals into Actions – Research and Innovation for Climate Change Mitigation”, held in Taranto on 14 June. The event, sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, was held as a satellite initiative of the G7 Summit in Puglia.
Prof. Bonalumi contributed to the panel “Sustainability Strategies for Climate Change Mitigation” together with other international experts and focused his speech on the production and applications of hydrogen to reduce emissions of climate-changing gases, highlighting Politecnico di Milano initiatives such as the Hydrogen JRP in collaboration with the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano.
I am honoured to have had the opportunity to participate in an event of such international importance. The exchange of knowledge and innovation in the field of energy is essential to effectively address the challenges of a sustainable future,
said Prof Bonalumi.
Our commitment as an academic community is to continue to develop sustainable solutions that can be implemented on a large scale.
The event, organised by the Taranto House of Emerging Technologies in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, brought together an outstanding panel of speakers from the international scientific and academic community. The aim was to explore and share best practices, emerging technologies and policies needed to drive a meaningful transition to a low-carbon economy.
