Engineering Festival 2023
The Engineering Festival is back again this year. From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th September, a rich programme of meetings, lectures, open workshops, children’s activities, films, shows and evening performances awaits you, in which lecturers and researchers talk about their life in the laboratory, the challenges they have faced and the goals they have achieved.
This year, the Festival will focus on the word ENGINEER, a title that has recently become official, and will highlight the important contribution of women to the development of science.
Many initiatives are proposed by our department. The Acoustics, Catalysis and Catalytic Processes, Turbomachinery Fluid Dynamics, LabX, MG2lab, SolarTechLab and Thermometric Calibration Laboratories will be open for the usual guided tours to bring scientific culture closer to visitors of all ages.
On the other hand, Matteo Passoni, Sonia Leva, Stefano Campanari, Michela Longo, Carlo Visconti and Mario Motta will be the protagonists of the Visioni Politecniche, popular meetings aimed at illustrating the progress made with a view to the future of technologies.
Finally, this year an activity has been organised for children: Nicolò Golinucci will play with children and help them calculate their carbon footprint.
