L’attività di ricerca coinvolge da un lato lo sviluppo e lo studio di nanomateriali avanzati con microscopia e tecniche spettroscopiche e dall’altro lo studio dei materiali catalitici materiali, dei reattori e dei processi per la produzione dei vettori energetici e della riduzione degli inquinanti nei processi di combustione.
