Brenna Morris
Morris Brenna is Full Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, where he earned both his master’s degree and PhD in Electrical Engineering.
His research activities, documented by more than 220 publications, focus on electrical systems for rail and road transport, electrical power systems for energy and electrical safety with particular consideration to sustainable mobility, distributed generation, power quality, and HVDC systems.
He collaborates with several companies in the rail and road transport sector on the planning of train power supply systems and charging infrastructure for electric road vehicles, including wireless power transfer technology.
At the Department of Energy, he is also co-responsible for the PEEMS laboratory on power electronics, sustainable mobility, and electrical safety, where he coordinates various research activities.
Morris Brenna is a member of Technical Committee CT 115/122 “Transmission systems above 100kV DC and above 800kV AC.”
Among his various institutional roles, he is a full member of the Provincial Supervisory Commission on Public Entertainment Venues of the Prefecture of Milan with regard to electrical safety aspects, and he is a member of the Third Section of the Higher Council of Public Works with regard to railway aspects.
