Longo Michela

Michela Longo, born in 1984, is a Full Professor in the Electrical Energy Systems Group at Politecnico di Milano. She graduated in Computer Engineering in 2009 and obtained her PhD in 2013. Her research activities focus on electric mobility (e.g. electric vehicles, e-buses, electric bikes, scooters, etc.). In particular, she develops optimisation algorithms for the diffusion of electric vehicles and charging stations. She studies alternative charging infrastructures (e.g. static and dynamic WPT, Battery Swap) that can be adopted both privately and publicly (e.g. Local Public Transport Companies). Over the last 15 years, she has been involved in numerous national and international research and consulting projects involving network operators, research institutions and companies in the transport sector. She is a lecturer in “Automation of Electrical Transport Systems” (Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering), “Mobility: Infrastructure and Services” (Master’s Degree in Mobility Engineering) and “Infrastructure for Mobility” (Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering).
