Famiglietti Jacopo
Jacopo Famiglietti, born in 1981, is a fixed-term researcher at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano. He graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Pisa with a grade of 107/110, with a thesis in Computational Fluid Dynamics carried out at the Technische Universität München (TUM) in Germany.
After various professional experiences in the public and private sectors, he obtained his PhD with honors in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano.
His research focuses on the development and application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology to HVACR systems, with the aim of creating tools and data sets to support decarbonization processes in the built environment and industrial sector. He is the scientific coordinator of national and international research projects and the author of scientific publications in international journals.
He also teaches Assessment Methodology for Carbon Neutrality in the Building Engineering for Sustainability course and Advanced Models and Methods for Life Cycle Assessment in the PhD course in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering. Finally, he collaborates on other courses, including Technical Physics in the Civil Engineering course and Zero Emission and Positive Energy Districts in the Energy Engineering course.
