Ibrahim Ahmed, born in 1986, received the B.Eng. degree in electrical & computer engineering from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, in 2010, the MSc. degree in nuclear power plant engineering from KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School, Ulsan, Republic of Korea, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in nuclear engineering from Kyung Hee University, Yongin-si, Republic of Korea, in 2020.
He is currently an assistant professor and core research member at Laboratory of Signal and Risk Analysis (LASAR) of the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. His research interests include data analysis, data mining, artificial intelligence and machine learning for health management of industrial/process and complex Systems (e.g., Nuclear Power Plants) as well as intelligent reliability, safety and resilience analysis of critical industrial systems.
Dr. Ahmed received the Scholarship Student Award from Korean Nuclear Society in 2015, the Best Paper Award of a paper presented at Korean Nuclear Society Spring Conference, Jeju, Republic of Korea in 2016, the Best Paper Presentation Award of a paper presented at International Symposium on Future Instrumentation & Control for Nuclear Power Plant (ISOFIC), Gyeongju, Republic of Korea in 2017, and the Best Presentation Award of a paper presented at a Session of 6th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS), Venice, Italy in 2022.
