Mazzucconi Davide
Davide Mazzucconi is a researcher at Politecnico di Milano. He graduated with honours in Energy Engineering in 2013, obtained a Master’s Degree with honours in Nuclear Engineering in 2016 and a PhD with honours in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology in 2020.
His research focuses on dosimetry and spectrometry of complex radiation fields, with particular attention to microdosimetry and nanodosimetry using gas and silicon detectors. He has developed innovative technologies for hadron radiotherapy, including the study of nuclear reactions and the development of innovative detectors for the characterisation of radiation fields. He is also involved in the commissioning and decommissioning of medical accelerators. His academic career includes collaborations with the National Centre for Oncological Hadrontherapy (CNAO) and the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), with which he has been associated since 2016.
He has been involved in numerous nationally and internationally funded research projects, collaborating with institutes of excellence in the field of physics applied to medicine and nuclear engineering.
