Matera Nicoletta
Nicoletta Matera, born in 1987, has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano since 2023. Nicoletta graduated in Management Engineering in 2015 and obtained, with an optimum final mark, a PhD in Civil and Industrial Engineering in 2021 at the University of Calabria, where she was a post-doc research fellow starting in 2021. She has experience in the following research areas: PV-wind hybrid systems, electric vehicles, renewable energy communities, renewable energy modelling, artificial neural networks, green hydrogen, multi-objective optimization, techno-economic analysis of energy systems, energy system simulation tools, phase change materials and energy efficiency in buildings. She has been involved in various national and international research projects and networks, such as the University of Waterloo and the Waterloo Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE) in Canada, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, Adiyaman University in Turkey, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia and the Vellore Institute of Technology in India. She has published more than 30 articles in high-impact journals and international and national conferences and supervised master’s theses. In particular, she was the supervisor of the three theses winners of 3 AICARR 2020 AWARDS of the 4 awarded on a national scale by AiCARR (Italian Association of Air Conditioning, Heating.
