Araneo Lucio Tiziano 

Lucio Araneo, born in 1969, is Researcher at the Energy Department of Politecnico di Milano, Italy.  He graduated in Mechanical Engineering (Laurea) at the Polytechnic of Milan 1993, and later in 1996 at the IFP-School. He completed his PhD in Energetics at the Polytechnic of Milan 1999 “. His main activity is focussed on experimental research on two phase systems, and the development of advanced optical techniques.  He joined the University of Darmstadt during 1999-2001 in charge of the spray laboratory. Since 2000 he joined the Italian National Research Council (CNR), with cooperation with major industrial companies. In 2005-2007 he was awarded with a Marie Curie Fellowship, to join the Technical University of Valencia at the automotive engine centre (UPV-CMT). Since 2008 he is tenure Researcher at the Polytechnic of Milan, where his activity extended to collaborate with ESA on the topic of two phase phenomena and heat exchange in microgravity, leading experiments on board of 15 Parabolic Flight Campaigns in preparation of an experiment to be lead on board of the International Space Station.. He co-authored about 50 publications with more than 1000 citation. He is teaching Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer since 2000.
