SRESA Lifetime Achievement Award to Prof. Zio

Prof. Enrico Zio, lecturer of the ‘Reliability Engineering and Quantitative Risk Analysis A+B’, ‘Resilience and Security of Critical Infrastructures’ and ‘Safety in Mobility’ courses at the Department of Energy, was awarded the Society for Reliability and Safety (SRESA) Lifetime Achievement Award for his important contributions in the field of risk assessment and reliability of engineering systems.

The Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano is organising the first edition of the course “The new role of the consumer: from prosumer to Renewable Energy Communities” and the second edition of the course “Electricity Markets and BESS”, as part of the “Training on Smart Grids & Electricity Markets”.

SESAM grouop researchers for the energy transition in latin America

In the past few weeks, researchers from the SESAM group of the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano held a course in Rio de Janeiro – at the invitation of Climate Compatible Growth (a UK-funded project that aims to finance sustainable energy and transport projects to meet development priorities in the South of the world), Universidade Federal Fluminense and Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora – aimed at energy professionals, economists and civil engineers, focusing on energy modelling tools.
