PhD Day Electrical Engineering & Poster Session

On Monday, February 16, the “PhD-DAY” event of the PhD Program in Electrical Engineering was held at the EN:lab building, featuring the students’ Poster Session and the presentation of the new PhD candidates.

During the event, 58 PhD candidates from the 37th to the 40th cycles presented posters illustrating the progress of their research projects. In the afternoon, first-year PhD candidates (41st cycle) also introduced their research projects and had the opportunity to present themselves to the Board of Professors, their colleagues, and the entire Department community.

On February 12, the Department of Energy hosted a final-year class from the “Badoni” Institute in Lecco for an orientation visit to the NanoLab laboratories. Students learned about research activities on nanomaterials, observed experimental equipment, and discussed university and career opportunities with professors, researchers, and PhD students. The initiative is part of the Department’s outreach activities aimed at introducing high school students to academic research and supporting informed choices about future studies.
