Castoldi Lidia
Lidia Castoldi, born in 1973, is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy. He graduated in Industrial Chemistry in 1998, obtained a specialization diploma in Polymer Science in 2001 and completed his doctorate in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry cum laude in 2004. Lidia’s academic career then continued as a research fellow at the department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering and as a researcher at the same department and then at the Energy department. Her research is mainly aimed at the preparation, characterization and testing of catalytic materials, with particular reference to the abatement of gaseous pollutants, H2 production and CO2 reduction. Using different preparatory methodologies, complementary characterization techniques and testing of various kinds, her work ranges from structural analysis at the atomic level to the possibility of scale-up of the process studied. She has been responsible for several competitive grants (PRIN projects) and research projects with university and/or industrial partners.
