Zago Matteo
Matteo Zago, born in 1983, is Associate Professor of Thermal Engineering and Industrial Energy Systems at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He graduated with 110/110 in Energy Engineering in 2008 and completed with honors his Ph.D. in Energy and Nuclear Science Technology in 2013. His research focuses on experimental characterization and physics-based modelling of electrochemical energy devices and related components, focusing on transport phenomena and degradation in order to enhance system performance and lifetime. The mentioned research activities are carried out for different technologies, in particular flow batteries and low temperature fuel cells (DMFC and PEMFC). He has been the Principal Investigator of several research projects with industrial partners. He is author of 29 publications on ISI indexed journals (h index 16, citations>500), more than 50 contributions to international conferences and 1 invited presentation in international workshop. He is also co-inventor of 2 international patents on redox flow batteries.
