Angelotti Adriana
Adriana Angelotti, born in 1975, is Associate Professor of Environmental Technical Physics at Politecnico di Milano. She graduated with honours in Physics in 2000 and obtained her PhD in Energy in 2004. Her research focuses on energy efficiency, energy saving and thermo-hygrometric comfort in the built environment, both from the point of view of building envelopes and air conditioning systems. In the field of building envelopes, she deals with materials for circularity, dynamic and innovative building components, and the design and optimisation of building systems. With regard to plant systems, she focuses in particular on shallow geothermal systems, in terms of the study of heat exchange in the ground and sustainable operation. At the urban scale, she deals with the assessment of thermo-hygrometric comfort and passive strategies for its improvement. Her expertise includes experimental methods with laboratory equipment (Dual Air Vented Thermal Box, Sand Box) and field monitoring, as well as analytical and numerical energy modelling. She is a member of the Building Thermophysics Laboratory of the Department of Energy and a member of the Management Committee of the Interdepartmental Textiles and Polymers Laboratory (TextileHUB) of Politecnico.
Education
Four-year degree in Physics, University of Milan, 2000;
PhD in Energy, Politecnico di Milano, 2004.
