Binotti Marco
Marco Binotti, born in 1984 in Cremona, is Associate Professor of Energy and Environmental Systems at Politecnico di Milano. He graduated in Energy Engineering in 2009 and obtained his doctorate in Energy and Nuclear Sciences and Technology in 2013. His research activity with the Generation and Energy Conversion Systems group (GECoS) deals with the study of conventional concentrated solar power systems (CSP), hybridized CSP systems and advanced energy systems. Marco Binotti has been involved in European projects dealing with the techno-economic analysis of innovative technologies for CO2 capture (CAESAR), hydrogen production via membrane reactors (BIONICO, MACBETH) and energy conversion systems based on supercritical CO2 cycles (sCO2-flex, SCARABEUS, Powder2Power). He is currently the coordinator of the Horizon Europe project PYSOLO on biomass pyrolysis using concentrated solar energy.
