Rabissi Claudio
Claudio Rabissi, born in 1987, has been a lecturer in Technical Physics at Politecnico di Milano since 2018 and a senior researcher at the Department of Energy. He obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010 and a master’s degree in Energy Engineering in 2013, before going on to earn a PhD with honours in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology in 2018 at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on the experimental and modelling study of the operation and degradation of electrochemical devices, with particular attention to fuel cells (in his doctoral thesis focused on direct methanol technology) and lithium-ion batteries, in collaboration with various foreign centres of excellence such as NPL in London, RWTH in Aachen, and Helmholtz in Ulm. Since 2019, he has been coordinating research activities on lithium-ion batteries in the MRT Fuel Cell & Battery group at the Politecnico di Milano, which also involves the Circ-eV laboratory, managed by the Department of Mechanics for the Circular Economy of Lithium-Ion Batteries, boasting numerous grants for both public and industrial research projects. Since 2021, he has been a member as an Italian expert in the CEI and IEC regulatory groups in TC21 (“Secondary Cells and Batteries”): PT63330 (“Requirements for reuse of secondary batteries”).
