Dellasega David

David Dellasega, born in Rovereto, Italy, in 1979, is an Associate Professor of Physics of Matter and works at NanoLab – Micro and nanostructured materials Laboratory. He holds a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy). In 2008, he obtained his PhD in Radiation Science and Technology. Since 2009, he has been a scientific collaborator (associate) at the Institute of Plasma Science and Technology of the CNR.

His interests concern the fundamental physics of the deposition and growth of nanostructured films and coatings and the relationships between structure and properties as a function of deposition processes. Particular attention is devoted to physical vapour deposition (PVD) techniques. The fields of application are materials for energy in the fields of nuclear fusion and fission, ion acceleration by laser pulses and photovoltaics.

He has lectured in various courses in the field of physics, condensed matter physics and nanotechnology; he currently teaches the Solid State Physics course for master’s degree students.

He has published over 100 international scientific articles and has presented original contributions at various international conferences.
He is responsible for research activities within the EUROfusion FP9 project and is responsible for the Euratom CONNECT-NM project at the Polytechnic. Since 2023, he has been a member of the STEN Doctoral College.
